What travelers say:
Just as it describes itself, this is the epitome of an old English pub but for us, it lacked atmosphere. The pub was quite empty and unfortunately there was a rather loud male chatting incessantly to the bar man at a very loud volume. We almost felt like we were intruding in a private meeting. It's quite quirky inside with ample seating and a number of separate rooms, including an outside area. We noted that they were strictly adhering to the COVID requirements which was reassuring. They have quite a decent range of beers which was nice but we didn't feel an urge to linger. We didn't eat here but did notice that the menu is full of the usual pub staples, ie., everything with chips! It's nice enough but not a pub we would visit again, it just lacked something.
